Panthera
About Panthera
By 2022, Panthera was bred, possibly from modified Velociraptor DNA from Isla Sorna, as a trained hunting animal bred for speed. Soyona Santos bred and trained at least one pack made up of three other individuals named Ghost, Tiger and Red. Santos trained the dinosaurs to hunt down anyone marked with a red laser, and to be persistent enough to follow them long distances.
The pack was shipped by Santos to Malta, where she planned to have Rainn Delacourt ship them abroad to Riyadh. During the exchange, however, a squad of French Intelligence Agents, including Barry Sembène, along with Owen Grady, ambushed the exchange and chased down the truck, eventually knocking it off the road and causing it to slam part way through a wall and send the Atrociraptors' cages flying. As the agents moved in to arrest Santos and her driver, Santos ordered the driver to release the raptors, and sent them to kill the agents as she made her escape.
Panthera is primarily orange, with a cream underbelly and brown stripes running down from the tip of the head to the hips. Not unlike Tiger, Panthera's color scheme is very similar to the first variant Velociraptor males, only more faded stripes. [1]
Panthera was released on the 25th of May, 2023.
In Game
Panthera's stats seem to be quite decent, and especially as a middle-ground creature, not having too much hp nor attack, but being good in both. Though it does seem to lean a bit more into tank territory, very similarly to Ghost, though it'll probably not be effective to be used as one, as it has much less hp than average tanks, like Secodontosaurus. Having said that though, it is extremely expensive, costing an immense 71250 DNA, making it currently more expensive than a lot of tournament hybrids.
In battle, it could easily serve as a pretty good all-rounder, being a decent wild card of each stat. It'll be adviced the player uses it as a middle creature, preferably between a tank and a glass canon (like Metriacanthosaurus). It could potentially work very well with such setup as the tank could be used as a meatshield to get the needed action points, and then mainly using Panthera for combat, as it should have an edge over most creatures in terms of overall stats, giving it a somewhat unique playstyle.
Even with its ridiculous current price, its uniqueness during battle coupled with its decent overall stats make it an overall interesting creature to use. Given how much DNA it costs however, it certainly wouldn't make it a very good investment for the player to get, even for fans of the Jurassic franchise who simply like the creature itself and might be interested in adding it in their collection alongside other ones that have appeared on Television. She can be obtained through the Panthera Pursuit Battle Pass and unlocked through her respective Tournament.
